Château de Salvanet is an 18th-century noble residence situated in Saint-Priest-Taurion, Haute-Vienne, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, approximately 16 kilometers northeast of Limoges. With roots tracing to medieval times when the lands were a fief of the feudal house of Comborn (documented since 962), the estate was purchased by the Dalesme family in 1509 and remained in their hands for over three centuries. The current château was constructed between 1773 and 1775 by Limoges architect Joseph Brousseau, replacing an older residence on the Taurion valley slope with an elegant new design. Now privately owned, the castle and grounds host weddings and receptions, and are open to the public during the Plant Festival in June and Châteaux Night in October.
