Château de Rosny-sur-Seine, also known as Château de Sully, overlooks the Seine's left bank in a Louis XIII-style structure built in the late 16th century for Maximilien de Béthune, Duke of Sully and Henry IV's superintendent of finances. The brick and stone castle features a U-shaped plan with corner pavilions and a courtyard adorned with sculpted chains. After years of abandonment and fire damage in 1997, extensive restoration between 1998 and 2016 returned the monument to its former splendor. The château was designated a historic monument in 1941.
