Château de Pesteils in Polminhac rises dramatically on a rocky promontory overlooking the Cère Valley in Cantal. This 13th-century fortress features a 40-meter high keep from the late Middle Ages adorned with magnificent 15th-century frescoes and 17th-century painted ceilings. Classified as a historic monument in 1994, the château has been open to visitors since 1956 and presents wax figure displays depicting castle life. The castle has remained in the Cassagne de Beaufort de Miramon Pesteils family since 1608.
