Château de Morey is a fortified house built in the 12th century on the ruins of a Templar convent, located in Belleau overlooking the Natagne valley in Meurthe-et-Moselle. The Joly de Morey family significantly expanded the structure between the 14th and 15th centuries with additional wings and towers, while 16th-century renovations introduced new windows and doors throughout. Though devastated by fire in 1985, the château was revived by a local family who undertook restoration efforts and converted it into guest accommodation and event space. Today, it stands as a resilient example of architectural preservation, offering visitors an authentic glimpse into Lorraine's feudal heritage.
