Château de la Chabroulie is a feudal castle located in Ayen, Corrèze, overlooking the Vienne Valley approximately 5 km from Limoges. Originally built on a hillside in Lower Limousin style, the castle features enclosing walls and a primitive tower that attest to its medieval importance, having survived English assaults and religious conflicts. The Monfrabœuf family settled on the property in the early 16th century and allied with the Lubersac family to construct its distinctive three-story design. Today the property operates as a bed and breakfast with guests welcomed for 25 years, complemented by a heated swimming pool and thoughtfully decorated rooms that blend historical atmosphere with modern comfort.
