Château de Hoyoux

Château de Hoyoux is a 15th-century castle in Clavier, Liège province, Belgium, originally constructed as a hunting pavilion for Prince-Bishop François-Charles de Velbruck. The château showcases Renaissance and Neo-Gothic architectural elements, featuring ornate window frames, intricate stonework, and majestic towers set amid sprawling meadows and carefully designed gardens. Two ponds enhance the castle's setting, complemented by formal and informal landscape layouts with vibrant flower beds, ancient trees, and manicured lawns. Located within the Hoyoux hamlet—previously part of Bois-et-Borsu municipality before the 1977 commune merger—the castle and its adjoining farms form a site of remarkable scenic beauty and historical significance in the Condroz region.
