Château de Frétoy in Morlet, Southern Burgundy, is a romantic 19th-century estate built in 1900 and set within a 4-hectare park. Once owned by celebrated Comédie Française actress Cécile Sorel between 1903 and 1933, the château later served humanitarian purposes including as a Red Cross facility for wounded World War II patients and a preventorium for tubercular children. Today it operates as a group retreat accommodating up to 54 guests with amenities including a heated pool, tennis court, and dining facilities.
