Château d'Aucors is an 11th-century fortified manor house perched dramatically on a limestone cliff overlooking the Nizonne Valley in Beaussac, Dordogne. Originally built on the site of an 11th-century castle, the current structure dates to the 15th century and was reconstructed in 1617 following damage during the Wars of Religion. The château dominates a steep 20-meter elevation above the valley and is protected as a historical monument, offering visitors insight into centuries of medieval conflict and Renaissance architecture in Périgord.
