Château Canon

Château Canon is a historic Norman castle located in Calvados featuring architectural elements adapted for the age of early artillery. Originally built as a fortress around 1050 by the prominent Martel de Bacqueville family to demonstrate their prestige, it underwent significant modifications throughout its history. In 1764, the structure was demolished and reconstructed using its remaining materials, creating the present-day château. Today the estate encompasses a 10-hectare park with beautifully landscaped grounds featuring century-old trees, manicured lawns, a watercourse, and Mediterranean gardens. The château functions as an exceptional reception venue in Normandy between Rouen and Dieppe, welcoming visitors to experience its magnificent park and architectural heritage.
