Charlottenborg Palace is a grand four-winged mansion constructed in 1672–1683 as a residence for Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve, located on the corner of Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn in Copenhagen. The building showcases Dutch Baroque architecture with Italian influences and took its enduring name from Dowager Queen Charlotte Amalie, who purchased it in 1700. Since 1787, it has been owned by the Royal Danish Academy of Art, serving as the official exhibition gallery and housing Kunsthal Charlottenborg, making it a vital cultural institution in Copenhagen's art scene.
