Caudilla Castle

Caudilla Castle (also known as Rivadeneyra Castle) stands in Maqueda, Toledo, as a 15th-century fortification built by Hernando de Rivadeneira during the turbulent reign of King Juan II. This medieval structure served dual military and palatial purposes, featuring defensive walls and towers characteristic of its era. A distinctive small circular tower crowned with a figure of Christ marks the castle's precise location, visible from considerable distances across the landscape.
