Castle of Brasschaat originated from an 18th-century transformation of a farm estate called the Helhoeve into a court of pleasure. In 1872, Mayor Armand Reusens commissioned the construction of a new castle in French neoclassical style, which the municipality of Brasschaat purchased in 1949 along with its nearly 170-hectare domain. The meticulously preserved castle now functions as a sought-after event venue and restaurant establishment, offering seven event rooms and accommodating private dinners, corporate functions, and weddings. The expansive grounds provide a tranquil setting for leisurely exploration and photography, while the castle's restaurant remains well-known locally, making it a comprehensive destination for cultural and culinary experiences.
