Castillo Miraflores in Piedrabuena, Ciudad Real, is an Islamic fortress dating from the 9th-10th centuries, occupying a strategic position on a rocky spur of the Sierra de las Doradas. Located on the medieval trade route connecting Córdoba to Toledo, the fortress was initially occupied by Christians in the 12th century before the Almohads reclaimed it in 1196. It passed to the Knights of Calatrava in 1212, undergoing architectural modifications throughout the medieval period until its abandonment in the 15th century. The structure preserves its irregular shape adapted to terrain, featuring a single tower with walls constructed of tapia and ashlar masonry reflecting Islamic and Christian construction techniques.
