Castillo de Mijas is a medieval fortification perched on the hills of Mijas in Málaga province, featuring remains from the Andalusí period with origins traceable to Roman times. The castle served strategic defensive purposes due to its elevated position overlooking the Costa del Sol. Today, sections of ancient walls and a masonry watchtower remain, incorporated into a garden and public viewpoint area known as La Muralla. The site has become one of Mijas Pueblo's most visited attractions, hosting cultural events and providing panoramic views of the coast and surrounding mountain range.
