Castillo de Marcilla is a Gothic-style fortress built in the 15th century by Mosén Pierres de Peralta in Navarra, initially constructed as a defensive stronghold before evolving into a noble manor. The castle gained fame in 1516 when Doña Ana, wife of the Marquis, successfully defended it against destruction ordered by Cardinal Cisneros. Acquired by the Navarre Government in 1976, the castle underwent extensive restoration from 2008 to 2012 and now serves as a municipal government building. Guided visits are conducted on weekends and holidays at midday, offering insights into its rich medieval and Renaissance history.
