Castillo de los Padilla, also known as Castillo de Santa Gadea del Cid, is a 15th-century fortress built over 11th-century foundations in the municipality of Santa Gadea del Cid, Burgos. The irregular stone structure features two large hollow towers on its northern side resting directly on living rock, with a distinctive keep positioned on natural stone outcropping within the courtyard. Built by Pedro López Manrique, the castle passed through the hands of the Padilla, Lerma, and Medinaceli families, reflecting its importance as a regional fortress. After appearing on the endangered heritage red list in 2010, restoration work on the keep led to its removal from that list in 2018.
