Castillo de los Condes de Benavente is a medieval fortress in Puebla de Sanabria, Zamora, constructed between 1477 and 1482 under Rodrigo Alonso Pimentel, 4th Count of Benavente. The castle endured significant damage during the Wars of Portuguese Succession and Iberian Independence but was eventually restored and transferred to municipal stewardship. Today, it houses the Visitor Center and Municipal Tourist Office, featuring thematic rooms about the Route of the Pimentel and exhibitions on regional historical and natural heritage, with its homage tower El Macho serving as headquarters for the Fortifications Interpretation Center.
