Castillo de Hornillos de Cerrato, also known as Castillo de los Enríquez, stands as a 16th-century fortress on a hill dominating the village in Palencia province. Built atop earlier medieval construction, the castle was particularly associated with the powerful Enríquez family during the 15th century. The fortress gained historical significance when it was held by the Admiral of Castile during his rebellion against King Juan II in 1451, and later witnessed the funeral procession of Philip I in 1507 headed by Queen Juana. Today, only partial ruins remain visible, including two round towers and curtain walls, preserved under Spanish heritage protection laws.
