Castillo de Feria s. XV

Castillo de Feria is a 15th-century fortress built from a pre-existing Moorish fort by the powerful Feria house. King Enrique IV granted the villa and title of Count of Feria to Don Lorenzo Suárez de Figueroa, Master of the Order of Santiago, in 1394. The castle's main tower and complex were constructed in the mid-15th century, with important reforms undertaken in 1460 and completed by his grandson in 1513. The fortress features a harmonious blend of Gothic and Mudejar architectural styles with intricate detailing on walls and ceilings. The main keep has rounded corners joined to the perimeter wall via a high-level walkway. Today the castle houses the Museo Señorío de Feria, an interpretation center dedicated to the Feria lordship with detailed Spanish-language displays spanning three floors covering the Feria family and their other nearby castles.
