Castillo de Coyanza in Valencia de Don Juan, León, is a landmark of 14th-century Gothic-military architecture, originally built within a protective moat and linked to noble families including the Acuña, Quiñones, and Enríquez dynasties. The tower of Homage still displays their heraldic coats of arms. Following its transfer to Infante John of Portugal and subsequent inheritance through the Enríquez line, the castle was designated a Cultural Heritage monument in 1931. Today, its restored Tower of Homage hosts an interpretation center, while the Museum of the Castle exhibits artifacts from archaeological excavations, offering visitors insight into medieval nobility and regional history.
