Castillo de Chiva is a medieval fortress of Muslim origin built on Roman remains, located on a dominating hill above the town of Chiva in Valencia's La Foia de Bunyol district. Originally constructed during the Muslim period as part of Valencia's defensive network, the castle featured three defensive lines and was granted by King James I to Berenguer de Entenza in 1237, though conquest was completed in 1241. Though now largely ruined, surviving sections of rammed earth walls and towers remain, alongside an 18th-century hermitage constructed using fortress remains.
