Castell Ferran is a defensive tower with a square floor plan located at 793 meters elevation in El Bruc, Anoia, on the western Montserrat massif. The two-story structure features brick loopholes at multiple levels and is surrounded by a small defensive wall. Originally likely used during the Carlist Wars, it later served as an optical telegraph tower linking the Barcelona-Manresa-Solsona line to the Barcelona-Lleida network. Designated as a Cultural Asset of Local Interest, the castle exemplifies 19th-century military innovation and strategic importance in Catalonia's communication infrastructure.
