Castell d'Uixó is a 10th-century Arab fortress located in La Vall d'Uixó in Castellón province, built to defend this strategic valley location. The castle was conquered by Christian forces in 1238 and declared a Cultural Heritage Site with monument classification in 2005. Though now in ruinous condition, the fortified structure remains clearly visible and imposing, with its defensive arrangements still apparent despite the passage of centuries. The castle represents an important example of early medieval Islamic military architecture in the region and stands as a landmark to the valley's complex historical transitions between Islamic and Christian rule.
