Castell de Vilajoan is a well-preserved large manor house and fortification located at the southern edge of Vilajoan village in Garrigàs, Alt Empordà, Girona, near the Fluvià river margin. The rectangular structure was likely constructed around the beginning of the 15th century under Galceran de Pontós and documented from 1406, when the Pontós family held the place. Featuring a small central courtyard, the building showcases a north-facing portal with a semicircular arch, rectangular crenellations with arrow slits, and well-preserved machicolation above the entrance. The castle passed to the Rocabruna family in 1493 and remains in excellent condition as private property.
