Castell de Sant Llorenç is a medieval military fortress located in Sant Llorenç de la Muga, Alt Empordà, Girona, positioned about 100 meters west of the town center on a terrace bounded by the Muga river. Documented in 1225 and built during the 12th-13th centuries with a likely triangular floor plan, the castle held strategic importance in regional medieval politics. In 1272, Dalmau de Rocabertí exchanged the barony with the infante Pere. Today, the Homage Tower and northern sector walls remain preserved; the square tower stands approximately ten meters high with visible crenels, serving as a landmark for the historic settlement.
