Castell de Saladeures

Castell de Saladeures is a fortified medieval estate in Santa Eugènia de Berga, Osona, with documented origins tracing to 937 as a domus within Taradell castle territory. Originally the residence of a family of knights named Eures, the property passed to the lordship of Santa Eugènia following a 1225 marriage contract between Elisenda de Rocafort and Berenguer de Santa Eugènia. The principal structure comprises a rectangular manor house formed by four adjoined volumes arranged around a central interior courtyard, accompanied by a chapel and associated outbuildings including a tenant house and courtyards. Accessible via a well-maintained track from the Vic to Taradell road, the estate preserves significant architectural and historical evidence of medieval Catalan feudal landholding and rural estate administration.
