Castell de Ribelles

Castell de Ribelles stands on a high hill in Torrefeta i Florejacs, Lleida, overlooking the small village of Ribelles nestled in the valley below. This medieval fortress formed part of a defensive network along the Llobregós River, a tributary of the Segre. A significant rebuild occurred in the early 20th century, restoring much of the castle's structure. Today, the castle integrates with the local church building and cemetery, which preserve the original chapel and the pantheon of the local barons. The site reflects centuries of Catalan history, bridging medieval military architecture with local religious heritage.
