Castell de Plegamans is a Gothic manor house situated atop Serra hill near Barcelona, blending architectural styles from the 14th and 15th centuries with an even older tower foundation from the late 10th or early 11th century. The castle has been held by prominent Catalan families including the Plegamans, Vilatorta, Gualba, and Clariana lineages throughout the medieval period. Restored in 1995, the castle now serves as the headquarters of the Folch i Torres Foundation archive, preserving centuries of Catalan cultural heritage within its medieval walls.
