Castell de Bellveí exemplifies the transformation of medieval military architecture into a noble residence during the Renaissance. Located in Torrefeta i Florejacs within the Lleida province, the castle was first documented in 1040 as part of the Urgell canonry's fortified holdings. The site underwent significant development under the Sacirera family in the 14th century and the prominent Agulló-Pinós lineage in the 15th century, who received the marquesate of Gironella from King Philip V. The 16th-century manor house that survives today reflects successive modifications as the castle adapted from defensive stronghold to aristocratic dwelling, while remaining designated as a cultural property of national interest.
