Castell de Bar is a cultural asset of national interest located in Pont de Bar, Alt Urgell, Lleida. Perched on a spur of the Cadí mountain range above the Segre river, the castle was an ancient centre of administrative power and guarded the entrance to Cerdanya alongside Aristot and Toloriu castles. Documented grants in 1114 and subsequent agreements between regional nobility shaped its medieval significance. The remains include the base of a central tower and approximately 6 metres of preserved walls, demonstrating its original elliptical structure adapted to the natural rocky terrain of this strategic mountain location.
