Burradon Tower

Burradon Tower is a ruinous tower house located in Cramlington, North Tyneside, England, constructed around 1553 by Bertram Anderson. Originally a three-storey structure with a single chamber on each floor, the tower features walls of sandstone blocks surviving to a course of corbels at approximately 7 metres height that once supported battlements. Protected as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and Grade II listed building, the tower was conserved in 1977 and stands as a testament to 16th-century defensive architecture. Local legend suggests a secret tunnel running from the site to Seaton Delaval Hall, adding to its historical intrigue.
