Bunyol Castle crowns a hilltop overlooking the town of Buñol in Valencia's landscape. Built during the 11th and 12th centuries by the Moors and later reformed in the 15th century after Christian conquest, this fortress played a key defensive role during the Reconquista. One of the finest preserved castles in the Valencian region, it uniquely retains inhabited rooms within its walls. The structure spans approximately 400 meters, divided into two distinct sections connected by a bridge and surrounded by defensive towers.
