Schloss Baumgarten in Ollersbach, municipality of Neulengbach, stands as a heritage-protected medieval fortress spanning multiple levels and wings in the St. Pölten district. First recorded in 1074, the castle underwent major transformation in 1565 under the Trauttmansdorff family and survived destruction during the 1683 Turkish sieges through subsequent rebuilding efforts. After burning in 1945, the castle was comprehensively restored externally by architect Walter Lechner. Today functioning as a private residence and veterinary practice, portions of the castle can be rented for seminars and business meetings, preserving the structure's functional use while maintaining its medieval character and historical significance.
