Baddesley Clinton is a Grade I listed medieval manor house near Solihull, managed by the National Trust. Probably originating in the 13th century, the house occupies an island surrounded by a wide moat where swans float peacefully. The property features three ranges arranged around a courtyard garden, including a magnificent 1570s Great Hall with a striking stone chimneypiece, a 500-year-old priest hide, and a 19th-century artist studio. The Ferrers family held the estate for 12 generations before it passed to the National Trust in 1980. Visitors can explore the chapel, library, kitchen, and beautiful gardens, experiencing one of England's finest examples of a late medieval manor house.
